About Ascent

AIM™ Implementation

AIM for Excellence
To advance the practice and acceptance of device reprocessing, and to assure maximum savings, Ascent created the AIM™ program, the reprocessing industry’s first comprehensive implementation program based on a multi-disciplinary, project-managed system. AIM™ represents the three phases of each project: Assessment, Implementation and Management. This proven, results-oriented program ensures that reprocessing programs are successful from Day One by embedding proven policies & procedures and proactively addressing collection logistics, operational support, goal alignment and other challenges that typically limit a reprocessing program’s ability to deliver results.

Ascent’s AIM™ process is driven by a multi-disciplinary team of skilled clinicians and complemented by inventory management, project management, regulatory compliance, engineering, and information technology experts.

The three phases of AIM™ are:

Phase I: Assessment
We partner with your hospital to develop a customized program to fit your needs. Together, we:

  • Assess SUD usage and set benchmarks
  • Gain facility-wide operational support for your program
  • Design appropriate program specifications

Phase II: Implementation
Ascent’s multi-disciplinary AIM™ implementation team works jointly with your staff to set-up your facility’s program. We:

  • Install site-specific collection systems
  • Provide in-service training
  • Integrate reprocessed SUDs into the facility’s inventory management system
  • Implement the reprocessing program

Phase III: Management
We roll out a turn-key management program. We:

  • Develop a hands-on management program
  • Regularly review our results, procedures and barriers for continued growth
  • Define methods to measure savings and increase productivity

Upon completion of the AIM™ process our partners immediately begin reducing their supply cost and improving the environment.
